Gray-haired, belly slightly protruded, forty-year old, not particularly handsome: according to the press these are the characteristics that make up a sexy man. And yet, this description does not remind me at all of the David (Michelangelo’s),which is famous to be icon of male’s beauty and perfection. A sexy man, to be considered such, has to necessarily be adult? Therefore, if one is young (20-30 years old), he is not charming? Seriously???
Well, then it is weird how David, handsome, with an athletic, shaped, and nude body, representing a young men in the fullness of his physical vigor has become such a myth. Probably in the Renaissance people knew more about male beauty. However, I am pretty sure there are still women who appreciate masculine and virile beauty, together with the confidence they gain, which makes them even more sexy. Raluca Pitulan decided to make of male beauty her mark of distinction choosing male models like assistants, not only to prove that handsome men are also impressively talented, but also to please her clients’ eyes.
